Crispy Chicken Cheese Balls-The perfect party snack

Chicken Cheese Ball is a delicious appetizer made by combining cooked, shredded chicken with cheese (usually mozzarella or cheddar ), seasonings, and binding ingredients.

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (or cheddar )
  • half teaspoon garlic powder
  • half teaspoon onion powder
  • half teaspoon black pepper
  • half teaspoon salt
  • half teaspoon red chili flakes (optional, for spice )
  • half teaspoon oregano or mixed herbs (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander or parsley
  • half teaspoon paprika (optional for color )
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (for creaminess )
  • 1 tablespoon corn flour (to help bind )
For the Coating:

  • half cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular )
  • oil, for deep frying
Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Filling

In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, red chili flakes, oregano, parsley, mayonnaise, and cornstarch. Combine everything well until you get a sticky mixture that holds together. Take small portions and roll them into balls (about the size of a golf ball ). Place the balls on a plate and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes to firm up.

Step 2: Coat the Balls

Prepare three bowls:

  • One with flour
  • One with beaten eggs
  • One with breadcrumbs
Take a chilled chicken ball and roll it in flour, ensuring it is fully coated. Dip it into the beaten eggs. Finally, coat it in breadcrumbs, pressing gently so the coating sticks well. Repeat for all the balls and place them on a tray.

Step 3: Fry the Chicken Cheese Balls

Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer over medium heat. Fry 3-4 balls at a time, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve hot with ketchup, garlic mayo, or chili sauce.
